Album Notes
The moniker Minique Flambeau started in Norway, 1981. While on tour with the Rodney C. Riley Band, we occasionally did some recording projects with, well, let's just say I didn't want my real name on some of those albums. My roommate said to me one day. "you're Minique Flambeau".......I used stuck......end of story.
Playing and recording with many bands over the years, i never had the time to put all my tunes down in one place, so these recordings are a first for me. I can't really say what style they are, as that changes from song to song. Growing up in N.Y., so many musical influences have passed thru me to make me what i am today: R&B, Reggae, R&R, Doo Wop, Country, Jazz, Worldbeat melt and meld into my mind and it all comes out like a sunbeam mixer on "puree". Please take some time to listen and enjoy.
