ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Mip Power Trio released it’s self-produced debut album Haggard and Bedraggled on March 27th 2012 at the Bovine Sex Club. The album will be a follow up to Mip’s 2010 solo EP Caught in Between which was described as “fun, fast, and filled with high energy that is infectious to the listener.”

Haggard and Bedraggled features a broad range of quirky yet melodious rock songs. The title track “Bedraggled” is an upbeat pop-rock song that stands in stark contrast beside the pseudo-country twang of “Danger Ranger.”

The album took about a year to complete. The tracks were recorded live-off-the floor by Mike Pedrow at Cosmic studios the rest was up to Mip and her bassist Greg.

“It’s probably the cleanest sounding record I've done.” Says Greg Kowalczyk, the Mip Power Trio’s bassist and album’s part engineer. “I'm really happy with the little extras, guitar and piano layers, vocal harmonies, even sound effects. But the foundation for this album is 3 people playing these songs together, at the same time, which I think we captured quite well.”

The Mip Power Trio launched the album on March 27th at the Bovine Sex Club and continued to celebrate by hosting a residency at Not My Dog Fridays in April.
