ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
four ( x ) ɹnoɟ captures many dimensions of the number four: four friends, four masterworks for saxophone quartet, four long road trips together, and the musical interaction of four saxophonists. We spent the 2014-2015 season studying this repertoire and performing across the country in many competitions, conferences, and recitals. This exhilarating adventure culminated in being awarded the Gold Medal in the Senior Wind Division at the 42nd Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. In an effort to commemorate this highlight and journal our memories from the season, we decided to record an album of the music we played along the way.
