ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Created by a music professor and mother, this album features natural white noise to calm baby and induce sleep. These are the lullabies of nature.

The collection is sourced from some of the purest waters in the world - springs, rivers, and sea, in New Zealand and Scotland. The waters of The Resurgence, Golden Bay, and mountainous Takaka are purified through a vast underground network of limestone caves. The waves from womb-shaped Catterline Bay create a reassuring ebb and flow.

White noise is the sound that babies hear in the womb. White noise, like white light, contains the entire spectrum of frequencies. It is the 'Shhh' sound that carers instinctively produce to soothe a baby.

Progressively utilized in modern neonatal units, white noise recordings have been scientifically proven to induce sleep and combat restlessness, colic, and crying in babies.

Through post-production equalization, sub-audible frequencies below 20Hz and above 20,000Hz have been dramatically reduced to ensure that baby's sensitive ears are protected.

To effectively reduce crying, white noise should be played at a level that matches baby's cry. For sleep, play the tracks at relatively low volume.
