ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes

English

Mister Blues’ 6th album “Ernst Blues” gets under your skin. That’s the Blues telling you there’s no escaping life’s hardships.

“Das Ding ist durch”: “It’s all over” lets a man ponder his failed marriage. Suffering long years of unkindness and lovelessness he concludes his options can’t be anything but drastic.
“Denk bitte noch mal nach”: “Give it a thought” a man, loving father, pleads to his ex-wife to let him see his son again
“Es ist spaet geworden”: “It’s been getting late”. Too much work and too little time. Don’t we all know it….
“Hartz IV”, short for welfare or dole, a family made redundant from work after 25 years and losing their home to the banks is realising they won’t even be able to afford their funerals
”Teddy”: A little boy clings to his cuddly toy and tries to soothe his fears as he hears his father swearing and abusing his mother next door.
