ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Following a tumultuous summer, Mistress and the misters (Matm) have returned with a new and improved lineup to release their first full length studio album “Conflagration” on Friday October 20th, 2006. Joe Varela of Black Lab Studio has harnessed the frenetic energy of Matm’s live show into the 16 track 39 minute album. Matm’s danceable garage rock now has improved polish but retains its rough around the edges feel that exemplifies the band. The pieces and timing were finally in place to produce an album that Matm is truly proud, which they feel has been a long time in coming. The lineup of John Cappuccio (bass, sax, vocals), Chris Henderson (guitar, vocals), Lane Morgan (percussion), and Seth Swift (vocals) combine their very different musical experiences and backgrounds to create the Matm sound.
