ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Mitchell Cox is a veteran pianist who has played around the world. Classically trained at a concert level and comfortable in all genres of music, Mitch discovered early in his career that his biggest skill is as an accompanist. He has directed choirs, served as repetiteur in opera companies, worked as a church musician and director, accompanied instrumentalists of all types and levels, adjudicated music festivals, and served as Examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music for many years. He has played for dance companies, actors and singers and in bands in churches, rehearsal halls and on-stage across Canada, Japan and Europe.

Mitch can, pick up any instrument, and make music. And he is a genuinely nice guy -- the kind of person you want beside you on-stage! He likes to make people sound and feel their best.

Music is a powerful tool in spreading peace on earth, and gathering together to sing is one of the simple delights of humanity, particularly at the holiday season. Sadly, in our busy world there seem to be fewer and fewer people who can sit down at the piano and play Christmas carols. Mitch made this album for all of you who want to sing or hum along in the car, around a tree, or at a Christmas gathering but can't find anyone to play for you.

Lyrics to the songs are included with the CD purchase. To download the song-sheet for a digital purchase, you can find them on his web-site: http://themillatpipercreek.ca.

And thanks for inviting him to your party!
