Album Notes
I love spending time with Mitchell Stone--it's time WELL spent. As my husband, he's peaceful and laid back. But as the songwriter for the original music on his album "Shotguns and Machetes," Mitch can be downright confrontational! He sings about the urban "pants-on-the-ground" subculture of gangsters and thugs...the worldwide bullying epidemic...female presidential contenders (at least one)...the battle against breast cancer...and adult depression. Also exploring fatal car crashes, Jesus Christ, current events, and those brave men and women who lost their lives while defending the United States, several of Mitchell Stone's songs contain pretty heady, sometimes controversial stuff. And his expert writing makes every song totally entertaining and enjoyable. If that's not enough(!), that covers his serious side.

Other tracks in "Shotguns and Machetes" reflect Mitchell Stone's smart sense of humor. That very funny side of his helps make Mitch's songwriting one of the most creative forces in today's music. His unique phrasing and song styling brings real-life images to what he's singing about--and you'll recognize that when you listen to Mitchell Stone perform the songs in "Shotguns and Machetes."

So hear all 15 tracks in this beautiful collection, including the three bonus holiday songs. You'll consider it time well spent!
