Mitsuko Ito was born in Hokkaido, Japan. Graduating from Kyoto City University of Arts & Music in Japan, she continued her studies with professor Yfrah Neaman at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, where she obtained Performance Diploma. In France she obtained "diplome de concertiste" at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris under Mr.Devy Erlih. She performed in the Pacific Music Festival, the largest international classic music festival in Japan, in 1993, 1997 and 2000. She served as a guest musician in an Intrenational Festival of Christmas Music in Geneva, Switzerland from 1998 for 10 years, where she performed her compositions and arrangements. On 1st January 2010, she performed Chausson's Poeme with Massy Opera Orchestra under Dominique Rouits in France. She performed Mendelssohn's violin concerto with Meaux Flute Orchestra under Eric Ledeuil. Her own composition "Raindrops' Waltz" entered four times in the top 10 at all genres ( No.1 Classical ) of "Jango Internet Radio" in the United States. She has released the CD "MITSUKO ITO Violin Recital Chieria Hall 2012 LIVE" in 2013. A DVD of her live performance with Northfesta Orchestra, including a piece which was arranged and orchestrated by herself, was released by the committee of the concert in 2015. Since 2013 while she is in Japan, she has been serving as a personality of the FM ( & internet ) radio programme "Mitsuko Ito's Violin Talk" on Radio Sankakuyama. Based in Paris (France) and Sapporo (Japan), she has given many concerts particularly since 2002.
