Album Notes
Once the high-volume lead guitarist of Femme Fatale, Michael J Downey later embarked on a solo career with his first album "Your World" (2004).

Once the high-volume lead guitarist of Femme Fatale and The Sharks (aka Mick Nichols), Michael now makes waves around the world with an Acoustic/Pop/Rock solo career. Live performances feature rich vocal harmonies and layered acoustic and electric instrumentation in a high-energy show. Michael's first album "Your World" (2004) was critically acclaimed, and sold throughout with world. In 2006, Michael has recorded "Bridge of No Return" with producer David Longoria (U2, Sting, Train, et al). The title track's video was shot by Director of Photography Mike Britton, telling the story of the bridge at Panmunjeom - the bridge that separates North and South Korea. Michaels mission is creating a cultural bridge through his music, and through his non-profit organization - hashi.org -dedicated to facilitating cultural exchange between America and Southeast Asia.

...He's joined the big boys...
With the release of "Bridge of No Return," Michael J Downey has taken his music, his message, to a whole new level. He's joined the big boys - with top-tier production (David Longoria, U2, Sting, Train, et al), musicians and backing vocals. The 4-song EP is slated for an Asia-only release, with a full-album due for domesic release in 2007, but may find its way into distribution channels here, we're told. His signature acoustic/pop/rock with layered vocal harmonies is still there, but with "Bridge," there is an urgency, an edge, and a bigger message, yet with a pop/rock accessibility that make each one of these songs radio-ready hits!
