Album Notes
The latest installment from Mahoney and Peck, "The Gallery of Subtle Smiles" continues to show the evolving soundworks and audible explorations of this genre defying duo.

The Gallery of Subtle Smiles offers much to the listener. Weaving dark tapestries of sound coupled with progressive melodies and rhythms that evoke deep emotinal response. To pass it off as merely ambient music is far to easy as "Gallery" is properly more related to modal jazz then anything perceived as electronic.

mind music
gallery of subtle smiles is a tranquil hypnotic adventure through inner space. some of the sounds are like long currents of ambient lightwaves streaming across vast skies. other sounds are like trickling star sparkles dancing around your head. both of these sounds hooked together throughout the recording by deep rythmic textures. this recording is definitely for the mind, good for both having on in the backround during contemplation, as well as for following along attentively.
