Album Notes
I've been playing bari sax in NYC since the early 90s and got the name Moist Paula from my band Moisturizer, which existed from 1998 - 2009. I'm influenced by the instrumental pop music I heard on the radio in the 60s, punk rock, which is how I started playing sax and many kinds of American music. As a side artist, I play bari sax with Nick Waterhouse, Binky Griptite, Reverend Vince Anderson and Burnt Sugar and have played with CW Stoneking, TV on the Radio, James Chance & The Contortions, Gogol Bordello, The Roots and Melvin Van Peebles. My single Melvin's HotDog is about the giant paper mâché hotdog Melvin built in which to store his boring paperwork.

Moisturizer played instrumental rock music live; we had dozens of songs but only one, Sissies, has been released. The rest are in my vaults!!

In what I refer to as the Post Moisturizer Era, I've continued to write instrumental music and hope to release more recordings and perform it live in the days and years to come. Also, I released some ambient electronica which I composed and recorded on EWI - Electronic Wind Instrument. It's out there on the web under Moist Paula. I also released a solo "saxtronica" album in 2007 under the moniker Secretary - the album is called "Secret Life Of Secretary".

And lately I've been SINGING with Resistance Revival Chorus. Who knew?
