This work touched me spiritually and emotionally
BEATITUDE MASS touched me spiritually and emotionally. The music is powerful and lyrically beautiful and powerful as is the theme of becoming aware of the homeless in our midst.

Sonja Cook

Great recording of a meaningful work.
I sang in the chorus for this full orchestral recording. It was a very fulfilling experience to be part of the telling of the story of two homeless people. It unfolds naturally and poignantly, with the choir and soloists interleaving, creating a conversation. The Latin movements allow for reflection. The soloists sing their part with deep feeling while the orchestra and choir comfort and caress them with musical compassion and skill.

Julie Ryan

beautiful, moving, beautiful music from chorus and orchestra
I own this CD and find it very stirring! The music and words touch the human spirit.

This work focuses are those who are homeless and struggling to survive. The music and words have great depth expressing the profound hope these people have. Your heart and soul will be greatly moved.

Walter Roach

Feeling of hope come through lyrics with reverence and elan
Juxtaposition of lyrics poignantly expressing hope for homeless with Latin text is reverently awesome. The full orchestra sound supports the majesty and poignancy of the full chorus with incredible soloist interpretation adding to its reverence. I need one for the car as well as at home.

Beatitude Mass
This piece of music is glorious. The recording helped get an idea of what to expect for a concert being performed at the Basilica in DC to benefit S.O.M.E. (So Others Might Eat) on July 1st. It was a nice addition to have the Brahms Requiem added.

Harry Tune

It was great to hear the other group perform this.
First: There was no satin pillow or gold box, but I got the CD just fine. Second: I sang the part of Adam in the production of this piece in Charlotte, Fall 2005. I wish that we could have had a professional, saleable recording of our chamber version of this piece, because I believe it was better. This piece required a nimble choir and 30 voices is much more nimble than 110. Also, there were pitch problems with the orchestra which we did not have. I was glad to have the opportunity to get the official recorded version and I will recommend it to my fellow singers.

Mollicone's Beatitude Mass
Wonderful to get this. Our group, The Georgetown Chorale, is rehearsing this mass for a May performance, and the cd makes learning this challenging work much easier.
