Album Notes
Molotov Dogs are a 4 piece Texas band that plays a hybrid of Rock, Country, and Funk with a heavy blues back-end and an experimental temperament.

Molotov Dogs began working on a debut studio album in August 2010. Released in April 2011, "Chupacabra Nights" features 11 original songs that will certainly make a mark in the Rockin' Alternative sub-genre of Country, as well as the Rock and Americana charts. "Chupacabra Nights" is a heavy red dirt country or twangy blues-punk record, depending on your perspective, and can be acquired on Amazon, CD Baby, or iTunes - get some!

Molotov Dogs was founded by Craig Nance, Blake Brownlee, and Vic Aben in the Fall of 2009 in Denton, Texas. The band began writing original music immediately, and began gigging around the time that Rev. Matt Hall was absorbed into the group in the Spring of 2010. In the Summer of 2011, the Dogs replaced departing drummer Vic Aben with Macky Barnett.

The musical style of Molotov Dogs is a hybrid of Rock, Country, and Funk. Some call it Alternative Country or Country Rock. Ask one of the Dogs and he'll say they sound like a double shot of Mid-American groove with a dash of urban perspective, mixed with a rusty railroad tie. Recently a frequenter of the local Denton scene described Molotov Dogs as "upbeat southern rock with a bluesy funk feel and a little twang added in."

The Dogs released their sophomore record, Burning Texas, in February 2013. Follow the band on Facebook or Twitter to keep up with latest information on the band, tour dates, and more.
