Album Notes
The Zydeco Hepcats bring their own unique energy and flamboyant flair to every song in their eclectic repertoire. On this CD, they play Zydeco favorites by the likes of Buckwheat Zydeco, Jude Taylor, Boozo Chavis, and Clifton Chenier with an authentic style and irrepressible force that's guaranteed to get your fingers snapping and your feet moving. Taking turns on lead vocals, these cats can belt out the blues, croon a ballad, or shout some swingin' jump jive with the kind of feeling that reaches right into your soul. Each of them is also an adept instrumentalist capable of blasting a solo that will blow your mind or riding a riff as part of a tight, infectious rhythm machine.
