Album Notes
Its Loco Baby...Back at it! Monteloco returns with his most diverse work to date. “ITS LOCO BABY” released by Montelongo Music, hits the digital world this February 2009 via iTunes & CD Baby. This phenomenal full length album features “The God Father of Latin Hip-Hop” Mellow Man Ace on the early 90’s tribute track “Latino Hip-Hop”. The club banger “U Wont Regret It” features vocals & additional production by West Coast Super Producer Fingazz. One of the most important people on the West Coast music scene Damizza lends his unique vocals to “Yellow Tape” a somber reminder to of all us about how precious life is. O.G. Chicano rapper Mr. Shadow & young gun King David join Monteloco on this futuristic sounding “Bouncing in the Club”. “Gurlike U” features the sexy vocals of Latin R&B’s finest Rigo Luna & his cousin Ant Show. One of the most controversial songs on the album is the Day Labors Anthem “Standing on a Corner” ft. Nanette Felix. Monteloco is not afraid to tackle the issue of unfair treatment of Day Labors in this country. Not one to be stereotyped , Monteloco take us along with R&B’s golden voice Lorence Michaels down to Jamaica for this up temp, pop, dance track “Luvurbodyrite”. Monteloco is also known as The 805 O.G., so for his ode to the 805’s finest green, he brings out 805’s Triple-C & young gun King David to bless us. Ladies get ready for Monteloco & his posse of Gracie Marie, Bigg Temps & Ese Daz riding into town with this steamy wild western inspired track “Rodeo”. For those of you who don’t know Monteloco is a professional graphic designer, on “No Photoshop” he brings us into this other side of his life, as he describes why this girl is, “so, so hot, she don’t need no photoshop...” “Chnge da Wurl” ft. Big Smooth is what Monteloco calls, “My first love song”, it has a beautiful melodic beat that lends itself to delivering this power love ballad. ITS LOCO BABY was produced by West Coat up & coming producer LITO Beatz except for “Standing on a Corner” produced by Kamoflawge Beats & “Luvurbodyrite” produced by Lorence Michaels.
