ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The JOHN MONTESANTE QUINTET , aka JMQ, was formed in 1990 by Melbourne-based Jazz Trumpet & Arranger, John Montesante.

The JMQ, with its roots in Bebop, offers timeless Jazz Standards, featuring some of Melbourne's finest Jazz players. The album line up comprises Joe Ruberto (Piano), James Clark(Double Bass), John Montesante (Trumpet & Flugel), Mark Voogd (Drums), Jim Glasson (Alto-Sax).

This album, featuring the JMQ was recorded ‘LIVE’ @ Atlantis Studios, Port Melbourne, before a small audience, to showcase the band’s talents - with the vocals of some of Australia’s quality Jazz singers, who appear regularly with the JMQ. It was intended to give the listener a sense of the band performing 'live' just for YOU.
