Album Notes
"Ever wonder what Bob Dylan, Keith Richards, Paul Westerberg and Steve Jordan would sound like in a band together? Listen to South Florida artist Monty Warren's new CD, Trailer Park Angel (Doublenaught Records)."
- Bill Meredith, Palm Beach Post

"Warren tells a relationship story that rings universal and he sells the songs by letting his survivor scars show."-Rick Cornell,The Independent Weekly,Raleigh,N.C.

Monty Warren and his band of sturdy veteran rockers bring the Rock'n'Roll big time on his debut, Trailer Park Angel (Doublenaught)! Stonesy riffs mixed with a little Ramones attitude. Burning rockers pausing just long enough for a couple of tough but tender ballads. Trailer Park Angel grabs you from the first listen, and just gets better every spin."
-Mike Elliott, host "The Homegrown Hour", WLUS 98.3 FM, North Carolina

Trailer Park Angel is good, unadulterated music. With riffs and singing that remind me of Tom Petty and sometimes the Faces, the mostly uptempo playlist produced a fine listen. Good driving music. It's only rock 'n' roll, but I like it.

Long Live Rock n' Roll
Picked this album up after watching this guy jam in Raleigh, N.C. Awesome rock n' Roll with influences from the Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Paul Westerberg, The Faces, Oasis, with some Iggy Pop for good measure. From Monty Warren's first chord on Lonely Girl throughtout the rest of his album, this boy rocks and writes songs that could have, should have, appeared on albums like Exiles and Damn the Torpedoes. Rick Richards from the Georgia Satellites and Izzy Stradlin and the Ju-Ju Hounds lays out some of the hottest leads in years while Terry Anderson from the Yayhoos and OakTeam and Jack Cornell from the Oakteam and Fabulous Knobs prove once again that they are solid rockers. A Sweet treat is "Kill a Love" features violin work and the angelic, yet sassy voice of Caitlin Carey from the Tres Chicas and Whiseytown. So if you happen to like Oasis, Primal Scream, Paul Westerberg, Replacements, Smithereens, Faces,Drive By Truckers, Steve Earle, Trent Summar, Terry Anderson and The Olympic Ass-Kickin Team, Tom Petty, Wilco, John Lennon, The Beatles, Chuck Berry, The Kinks, Ray Davies, The Jayhawks, Son Volt, The New York Dolls, The Who,Ron Wood, The Expensive Winos, Aimee Mann, Lucinda Williams, Tift Merritt, Whiskeytown, Ryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen,Bob Dylan,The Yayhoos,Georgia Satellites,Jason and the Scorchers,Cracker,or NRBQ, you will love this gem.
