ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Native of Haiti, Monvelyno learned from the creators of the Haitian roots music and sacred places in Haiti as Soukri, Badjo, Souvnans .

The innovators of this movement guided the young musician helping him understand the language of the Haitian drums relating to the guitar. He moved to the US to study music as a well rounded musician in search of an original sound when this quest made him merge all these influences and offers listeners a New Music Movement for the Haitian Tradition. He names this new sound "Kodapo" to strengthen the Haitian culture and extend the paths of the Music in the World.
