Album Notes
Frank Bongers (29) has been a musician ever since the tender age of 9. He started with violin and piano, but decided 2 years ago to broaden his horizon by dedicating himself to electronic music. And apparently with success, as he just presented his second album to the press and receives worldwide praise. Top-djs and producers like Laurent Garnier, East Coast Boogiemen, Jacob London, Murray Richardson, David Duriez and Rob Mello are wildly enthusiastic about the vinyl version of "Just One Look". This latest song topped the charts of Studio Brussels Hotlist for weeks on end - talking about a hit single! The videoclip, shot at the antwerpian "Club Geluk" (Club Happiness) has already created havoc on Jim TV and TMF - the second clip of "Trouble at the wrong time" will be released shortly. What kind of music does Frank create under his pseudo "Moodlex"? As producer and adept of various styles he thinks it would be a waste to be classified in some particular box. That is the reason also why he combines house, drum n bass, breakbeat, downtempo and jazzy stuff on his second cd "Moodlex 24". In the future Frank is planning to work on various side projects in which hell pour his musical talent, be warned! You probably heard about the special way Moodlex brings its solo live sets. It was unique for Belgium when Frank decided to bring his electronic music live with only two laptops and a few external music modules. Only using his own music and self made remixes of tracks he finds interesting - reworked, cut up, twisted - he turns it all into one musical story on the spot, making it serious competition for worlds top djs. Hes managed to blow peoples minds at several clubs and festivals, like Café dAnvers, Club Geluk, Supper Club, Notting Hill Arts Club, Amsterdam Dance Event, Dance Hill, Fill Collins Club, Vooruit Gent, Halycon NYC, Le You, Montunos, Muziek-o-droom, City Parade, Alter Ego Festival, 10 Days Off and shared the stage or dj booth with big names like Jazzanova, Phil Weeks, Hector Moralez, Jan Van Biesen, Alex Klimow, Chris Carrier, Briskey, Ed & Kim, Arsenal, Buscemi, Mauro, Tom Barman, Paul Thomas, Pepe Bradock, Alex Gopher, Etienne d Crecy, Swayzak ...
