Album Notes
In the spirit of Doug Sahm and his Sir Douglas Quintet, this San Franciscio band mixes country with blues, rock, pop, and other musical influences to create original music.

This CD is dedicated to the legacy of John Cipollina, legendary guitarist for Quicksilver Messenger Service, and features an unreleased song written by him (“Coco”).

Many special guests and friends joined in on this project:

 Augie Meyers: Texas Tornadoes, Sir Douglas Quintet, Bob Dylan

 Martín Fierro: Zero, Tracy Nelson, Legion of Mary (with Jerry Garcia)

(We got Augie and Martín together to record at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, the first time they’d seen each other since their days in the Sir Douglas Quintet, 34 years ago!)

 Norton Buffalo: Steve Miller, Doobie Brothers, Bonnie Raitt

 Francis Clay: (84 years old!) Muddy Waters, James Cotton

 David Freiberg: Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Airplane/Starship

 Linda Imperial: Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Starship

 Dave Getz: Big Brother & The Holding Company

 Peter Albin: Big Brother & The Holding Company

 Bobby Black: Commander Cody & Lost Planet Airmen

 Steve Schuster: Quicksilver Messenger Service, Grateful Dead, Sly Stone, Jefferson Airplane

 Lisa Kindred: Legendary blues shouter

 Antonia & Mario Cipollina (Huey Lewis & The News)
