Album Notes
True innovators of live electronic music have landed. Moonraker branches out from the current state of music, working with the remnants of d'n'b and house. The energy of dance music is filtered through the live band, creating the sexiest sound to surface in years. The power of the human voice merges with epic soundscapes and ever-evolving breakbeats to continue the ancient story forever told.

The recent upsurge of the live electronic scene has gained a rapidly growing audience, and Moonraker has been steadily moving to the crest of this wave of new music. Having been together for two years, the group has packed countless rooms in the Boston area, including the Middle East, House of Blues, Bill's Bar, the Paradise and the Somerville Theater. Moonraker is continually broadening its fan base with regular performances in Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont, Toronto and New York City (Wetlands, Mercury Lounge, Knitting Factory). Moonraker were named 'Best New Band in Boston' by WBOS 92.9, and are featured regularly on local radio (WBCN, WERS). Moonraker has shared the stage with notable acts including DJ Spooky, Ice-T, Amon Tobin, Joan Osbourne and the Disco Biscuits.

No Bull is Right!
Nelly, Edie and Erykah, this is where y'all tried to get to. Kelli Scarr and the band mix and flow like nothing I've ever heard. Dark, funky and captivating are just some of the words that truly, barely describe this eventual masterpice. Everyone of my INDIE friends are hooked on this album. It speaks, and speaks loud. Well done.

Instant Classic
Moonraker is a journey into a melting pot of various sounds. It has a little bit of jazz, hip-hop, trip-hop, drum & bass and all soul. It truly manages to never go overboard w/ each genre. Moreover, the band is able to mix the various elements to make an intelligent, sexy sound that is today. Most of all, leading vocal, Scarr, is absolutely the perfect compliment to Moonraker's music.

These guys know what's up. Thanks for making my day!

Truely a staple of any good CD collection.
It doesn't leave my CD changer. A friend origonally sent me a copy of this album and I was immediately hooked. I purchased a replacement when the CD-r died. Well worth the $10. Vocals are real, sentual, and fit well with the rest of the bands musical expression. The tracks all have a move-and-groove feel to them which is very refreshing among all the heartless pop junk being put out by most music labels lately.

Stuck in my CD player
I fell in love with the music from the sample clips on CDbaby and decided to buy it and every track simply blew me away. It's been stuck in my CD player ever's one of those CDs where you put on repeat and can't get tired of. Great vocals and style, feel. Great for relaxing, chilling out, every occasion ! Would give it 10 stars I could.

4.5 stars. Great chill out cd.

CD Baby

Casting a spell with the mystery and atmosphere of the darker side of Bjork, mixing in electrified soul, trip hop, and acidic, jazz-marinated organic funk, this slinky, seductive, sensuous album is one of the most dangerous concoctions to hit the music scene. This is one trance you won't want to snap out of.

don't miss it
since i bought this cd i never got out of my cd player it's relaxing and then it gave you energy to start the day and leave you in a brillant mood
