ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
MOONSCAPE is a project founded by Håvard Lunde in February 2015, and is based in Gjøvik in the Oppland region in Norway.

MOONSCAPE has now concluded the recording and production of its debut album, entitled Entity, which features a forty minute suite, divided into nine movements. In terms of style the music can be placed in the progressive metal genre, with emphasis on atmosphere and variation rather than technicality. Bands like Edge of Sanity, Entombed, Ayreon and Opeth have been essential in the forming of MOONSCAPE's expression, but also 70's progressive rock acts like Yes and Genesis have made their impressions as well.

Håvard Lunde has written and composed all music and words on Entity, and he also performs bass, lead-, rhythm- and acoustic guitars, keyboards, percussion and lead vocals. He has brought with him a handful of guests on lead vocals and solo parts. Apart from Lunde himself, the following are featured on the album:

· Jim Brunaud (The Gaemeth Project) as "Father" - lead vocals
· Matthew Brown (Arkhane) as "Man" - lead vocals and chants
· Kent Are Sommerseth (Unspoken, Varulv) as "Demon" - lead vocals

· David Russell - piano
· Leviathan (ex- Unspoken, Kvesta) - lead guitars
· Andreas Jonsson (ex- Spiral Architect) - lead guitars
· Diego Palma (LordDivine) - keyboards
· Simen Ådnøy Ellingsen (Shamblemaths) - acoustic and clean lead guitars
· Jon Hunt - keyboards
· John Kiernan - lead guitars
· Alex Campbell (Seek Irony) - lead guitars
· Noah Watts - lead guitars
· Sean Winter - tenor saxophone
· Justin Hombach (AeoS) - lead guitars

Entity is a conceptual album which tells the story of a man who no longer dares to face the world around him. Inconsolable, he has shut his eyes and sworn to never open them again. In desperation he finds no other way out than to escape into his own thoughts. In a silent corner in his mind, where he thought he would be safe from the world outside, he suddenly has to face a demon from his past, hidden away in his subconsciousness.

Entity is a self financed album, recorded and produced by Håvard Lunde at his HLP Sound Studio between February 2015 and March 2017, and was mixed and mastered by SHAUN RAYMENT (Enochian Theory) at SDR Audio Production, England in March/April 2017.

Entity will be available for purchase as an independent release on CD via MOONSCAPE's own Facebook/BandCamp pages, as well as digital download/streaming on BandCamp, iTunes, Deezer, Amazon Music, Spotify etc.

Release date: 2nd October 2017
