Album Notes
Return to Puddles of Love 2008!

Hello to all! A sincere thanks to those who have purchased this album or songs off of this album. My family and I thank you! I will have more music available on CDBABY soon, although it will be a bit more homegrown; low-fi; low-budget; my buddy's basement... you know the score. But its got sweet selections I give ya' the tip! So please check back!

"A fine listen by a fine musician." -- Music Liberation Project

A few friends helped me make this album and should be duly noted.

Tony Furtado, Banjo champeen and slide guitar wizard applies his skills to a couple of tracks.

Zac Brown, hands down one of my favorite songwriters rocks all kinds on some of the tracks.

Jeff Saltzman, recorded, engineered, mixed and co-produced to whole bloody thing. My deepest gratitude to Jeff for helping me make the best I could with what little cash a family man has.

Mo Phillips Biography:

Born and bred in Denver, CO. Schooled in Portland, OR. Fell in love with a beautiful lady there, married her, and had a baby named Henry. Went to India a number of times around the turn of the century and wrote and recorded some crazy stuff. Been in all kinds of bands playing all kinds of music. Ridiculously tired of musical politics and the selling of music and self. I just want to write songs and play them for people, people. Is that so wrong?

When I'm drifting out to sea, this album will picks me up and takes me safely to
First the disclaimer: Mo's a friend of mine. I'm a musician, and I have a lot of friends who are too. Whenever I meet someone and I know they play music, I get a little nervous- what if they suck? I worried about that with Mo at first because he was such a nice guy that I didn't want to have to lie to him ("Yeah, it was really...") When I heard him play the first time it was a big releif. And when I heard this CD, releif turned into awe. This album is what I put on when I'm feeling fragile. When I'm drifting out to sea, lost in confusion, this album picks me up and takes me safely back to the shore. I've thrown away a lot of my friends' CDs, but I'd never want to be without this one. Rock on, Mo!

Glistening Cyborgs; machines of soul and free-will.
This cd improves with each listen. The classic Saltzman production leaves Phillips' songs glistening like newborn cyborgs, part Human yes, but part something altogether different as well. Kudos to this wonderful team.
