Album Notes
All albums are special but this is the first time I get the opportunity to present my music in a "Live" format.
Rui Guerreiro was kind enough to bring his 'magic' box with him when he joined us at last year's MoreJazz 4 concert at the Polana Serena Hotel in Maputo, Mozambique. I am also blessed to perform as I have done for many years with some world class musicians, and this time was no exception. My band this time comprises of musicians from Swaziland, Botswana, Mozambique and South Africa and they all give 120% when they are on stage with me. We used the addition of the extra percussionist in Ronan Skillen which gave the show a completely different sound.
In this record we perform the most important song of the Republic of Mozambique "A Patria Amada" which is the Mozambican National anthem. 2014 was a difficult year for Mozambique with presidential elections being held shortly after MoreJazz 4 took place. It was important to show patriotism, respect and honour.
