ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Like the name states, Morning Star's sophomore album was recorded in a live ensemble setting without the use of overdubs or extra tracks. Sticking to one take for each song, all playing in unison, then move on to the next. Hence the name.

Is this because we're purists? I don't know. Is it because we're lazy? Maybe. Is it because we're perfect? (That's a Negative there Red Rider) Maybe we were just hungry. Starving artists and all.....

Anyway, we wanted to bring across the "live" feel on this album, opting to shy away from the over-produced releases that leave you with a false impression. If you've purchased this CD it'a probably because you've been to a live show and enjoyed what you heard. We are pleased to bring you more of the same here.

The Morning Star Ensemble consists of: Jenny Lynn Stancil on Vocals, Guitar & Fiddle, Cpt. Lindsay 'Ace' Thomas on Vocals, Guitar & Dobro, Dr. Tom Schurr on Vocals, Bass & Mandolin and David 'Ban-jo-Vee' Nicholson on Vocals, Banjo, Guitar & Mandolin.
