Album Notes
Morrigan comes into her own with this collection of elegantly written tracks, returning to the haunting, stripped-down style of her first, and still most popular, full-length album “Unbearably Sweet.” A treat for long-time fans as well as new ones, Angustia features two new versions of “Flood,” one of Morrigan’s most enduring compositions, the first an exquisitely produced rendering by Blake Althen of Discovery and Human Factor LLC, and the second highlighting the lovely, stand-alone piano accompaniment as played by Morrigan herself. Standout tracks include “Supposed to Fly,” “It’s so Easy,” and the remastered “Helen Goodnight.” Fans of “Get the Door” will also enjoy the feel-good “Strong Enough.”
