Album Notes
Greetings. Thank you reviewing this beautiful latin music.

La Guitarra Romántica consists of traditional acoustic guitar performances by two very fine Spanish guitarists, a very fine European slap-bassist, Morton Davis on synth-bass, and a Los Angeles-based world-class father and son Latin percussion group.

You will enjoy these traditional and modern Spanish guitar performances with their lightening-fast picado leads, breezy habanera rhythms and beautifully played soft ballads derived from an impressive array of traditional and modern acoustic guitar performances rendered in a comprehensive range of flavors and feels.

Renowned, Los Angeles-based, world-class father and son session players who are responsible for elevating the grooves of countless recording artists perform the Latin percussion on this CD. Ranging from straightforward to exotic, the rhythm on La Guitarra Romántica is meticulously tight and includes many dynamic performances that lend incredible movement and energy to the tracks.

Morton Davis plays synth-bass on various tracks, with a European guest filling in on slap bass. Evolved aesthetics and inspired performances on fine instruments are all present here.

Please note: Due to contractual agreements that the percussionists, bass player and guitarists have with other recording entities, their names cannot be revealed at this time. The music on this CD was recorded on a ‘work for hire’ basis. All music on this CD was composed and arranged by Morton Davis. All rights to this CD belong to Morton Davis Productions.

And, thank you, the listener. May you enjoy La Guitarra Romántica.

This CD is wonderful!!
I work with alot of spanish speaking people and love the music they play. This was the first spanish cd I had purchasedand even the spanish speaking people are asking where to get it. It is something we can play that everyone enjoys together.

A richness that takes me back to Mexico...
Before recieving La Guitarra Romantica in the mail I had only heard a few of the songs briefly. I am so pleased with the entire CD. There is a richness to these compositions that takes me back to Mexico...and makes me want to dance, or go for a walk in the plaza. I am really enjoying it.

This is the best cd I've heard with spanish music.
This CD was a gift for my husband that I bought for him. He listens to it all the time and says it will be a hard gift to beat. With it we are in the plaza or just sitting on the front porch of a spanish families home. He loves Mexico and the people there as well. No one will ever know what its like to be a missionary and not be able to go. This takes him there if only for a short while and I appreciate it. Thank-you, Kathy
