Mos Generator: 10th Anniversary Edition

by Mos Generator

The 10th Anniversary deluxe edition of the debut album from the Port Orchard, WA hard rock trio, Mos Generator, is set to introduce the tunes that started Tony Reed, Scooter Haslip, and Shawn Johnson down the stoner-fied road of that classic 70’s sound to a fresh collection of ears; and re-introduce the band to the die-hards who thought they had all of the Mos Generator material available. This deluxe package includes a 12” vinyl version of the original album, remixed and re-mastered, a CD featuring the original seven songs as well as a previously unreleased track and the full “Live at the Manette” concert originally self-released in limited quantities in 2004, and a digital download card that features an additional exclusive twelve tracks not included on the CD or vinyl.

Album Notes
The 10th Anniversary Edition of the self-titled Mos Generator debut album is a celebration of the longevity of the band, as well as a rebirth of the band as they enter a new creative stage of the career. This package will appeal to all who like their rock n' roll of a heavy and irreverent nature. Packaged in a gatefold jacket, it features a full length vinyl LP, a CD with the complete studio album, a previously unreleased track from the original recording sessions, and the complete "Live at the Manette" concert from 2002. To round out the package, this anniversary package also includes a download card with access to exclusive Mos Generator demos, live tracks, and extended rehearsal jams . . . not just a glimpse into the making of the band, but walk along the rock n' roll highway with the trio as they forged their way to legend.

"The long experience and the timeless love for music pay in terms of technical skill and solid passion perceived in studio as well as in live tracks, that you’ll find in this new release. As with any juicy heavy rock band worth of such a tag, Mos Generator should be experienced live. Not for everybody, at least just for geographical reasons. However in the rich menu of the new release the wealth of live tracks, i.e. the «Live at the Manette» concert, helps in depicting the generous doses of spice and vibes added to the impeccably performed studio tracks during the band’s live exhibition taking place in the old days. 9/10" -- Doommantia

"Like the rampaging inhabitants of a sonic Jurassic Park; thunderously heavy, jaw droppingly magnificent and maybe just a little bit scarey. This is music that went extinct many years ago, but against all expectation and logic, here it is alive and thriving in the modern age. All in all this is great stuff and this reissue belongs in everyone's collection if you have the original versions or not. 4/5" - The BCFM Sunday Rockshow
