Album Notes
About Mosno Al-Moseeki:
Mosno Al-Moseeki, the 3rd World Rocker, is an international singer/songwriter Native of Sudan. He uses Arab-poetic lyrics, with a pentatonic influenced style of acoustic alternative rock. He calls it Desert Eclectic.

He has opened up for such acclaimed artist such as:
Award-Winning group "Carbon Leaf". Legendary band "Rusted Root", And Grammy Nominated artist "Mathew Santos".

Since June of 2012 his websites have been banned in his home country Sudan, due to his anti-regime song “System Down (#SudanRevolts)”. He donates all the proceeds from that song to Girifna (we are fed up), a non-violent protest movement based in Sudan.

His song “No Kingdom” is featured in the first Sudanese/American short film “Faisal Goes West”, which premiered in Short Film Festivals in London, France, Italy, India, & Germany, all in 2013. And in 2014 that film opened up the first ever Sudan Independent Film Festival in Khartoum Sudan.

About the album NOVELLA:
The album is a 24 track concept album, based on my migration from Sudan to Baltimore. It plays like fairy tale, with a Narrator who guides you through the story. It features several artists, poets, & musicians. The album is a musical testimony that "East" & "West" can coexist together in harmony, which is why it features both Eastern instruments such as the Oud, and Western instruments, such as the Cello.

This project took 3 years to complete, and there is even a full colored "Story Lyric Book" that was printed out to help enhance the experience of this album.

Here are some press reviews of NOVELLA:
"The influences of Mosno’s home country are clear in both lyric and rhythm, refreshingly meshed with sounds both Western and that which rises above culture and genre."
-Anywhere The Needle Drops (USA - Feb/2014

"It’s not always easy to find a talented singer/musician who is also a gifted songwriter. Al-Moseeki is the whole package and we are certain to hear more and more from him over the coming years"
- TWAS Online (Canada - Feb/2014)

"A folk-y sound scape steeped in tranquil rhythms, it's a fitting match for quasi-mystical lyrics touching on spirit guides and 'chakras of the heart'"
-Baltimore Magazine (USA - May/2014
