Album Notes
Hey Joe, I played the CD on the long trip back to Ann Arbor. I laughed and danced all the way home! Its all here. The blues ! "God Bless the Child ", "A Child is Born," and a very mysteriously beautiful " Round Midnight ". I smiled all the way through Eleanor Rigby, that is a really nice arrangement of a classic Rock tune. Wow , who would have thought "Well you Needn't " could be done in a Funky style. You guys are really creative ! I enjoyed the swingers too , It Could Happen to You, and Straight No Chaser. It is nice to hear a group that swings. I can't say I laughed all the time, that number by Sting, " Tomorrow We'll See ", brought a tear to my eye. Nice Clarinet . Just Gorgeous. I enjoyed your version of Mas Que Nada, nice latin beat. ( Funny Sergio Mendez was just on Jay Leno last night and he played that very tune.] You guys are really current ! Montuna Shuffle sounds a lot like Chicago to me. I hear a lot of World Music influence in your music, I enjoy the drums. When you think about it Jazz is world music, all the immigrants moving to America and bringing their music. Great job, Scott.
