ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Dr Richard Michelson is recognized worldwide as MOTU, the multi-award winning blues and American roots guitarist and singer/songwriter. This 18th Rockin’ Juke Joint Blues CD Release titled “GOT MY BLUE SHADES ON” continues to show MOTU’s depth of understanding of the Blues as the tracks of this new CD jump out at you with real heart and soul. Dee’s soulful voice is candy to your ears as it floats on top of MOTU’s in unique haunting harmonies while MOTU's Delta slide guitar howls and the multi-talented Bob Rush's Chicago harmonica riffs growl to a hard foot stomping beat. Dee's solo vocal efforts on this CD range in styles from Billie Holiday to Ann Wilson and everything else in between! The maturity, and growth, of this music show that MOTU’s many talents as both a songwriter and performer continue to evolve in these ten new recorded songs of his wherein you will hear MOTU perform various different guitar styles including acoustic, electric, old style picking and slide as well as banjo and mandolin!

This is American roots and rock music at its BEST!

MOTU's CDs have received RAVE reviews, and multiple awards. Here are some of MOTU’s past published RAVE reviews:
