Album Notes
Read what the Blues Experts are saying about MOTU:

“Interpretive, talented and visionary are all words that can be applied to the stringed fluency of Motu. His playing is fluid, articulate and ripe with personality. His unique feel, style and breadth are well worth the trip to which these audiences can readily attest. The Blues Lives!”
-The Long Island Blues Society

MOTU is Dr. Richard Michelson; the New York based recording artist, musician, composer, and performer who is best known for his unique Blues, Jazz, and Rock Guitar styles. MOTU has also received praises from well known figures in the music industry for his work with charities.

On the heels of a very successful SOLO tour , and Live CD which captured his 2006 Live tour, MOTU’s newest incarnation of troubadours, and gypsies, rolled into one of Long Island’s most popular & intimate Blues Venues; EastEnders ; for a two night engagement (January 12 and January 20). With an eclectic mix of acoustic & slide guitars, banjo, harmonica, bass, and drums, this latest version of the MOTU Blues Review warmed the chill of the evening with classic standards and great new MOTU originals. The crowd loved the new sound and fortunately a 32 track digital recorder was running which captured this very special MOTU Electric/Acoustic show! This "Live" CD of MOTU's January 20th, 2007 EastEnders show again demonstrates the versatility, and skill, of guitarist Dr. Richard Michelson. You don't have to be a fan of MOTU to enjoy this collection of great tunes. However, if you are already a fan of MOTU, or just a fan of great jam band guitar blues, this CD is a must have for your collection!
