Album Notes
Mountain Bridge is a traditionally-styled bluegrass band based out of the upstate of SC.

“We love the old sound and imitate it through the lens of our modern era”, says founding member and manager Josh Johnson. Johnson leads Mountain Bridge in this tradition, and brings years of experience in “old-time” music as an award-winning fiddle & claw-hammer banjo player. He makes his home in Pumkintown, SC.

Chad Simpson, rhythm guitar, has played with other groups in the upstate of SC. Originally from Liberty, SC he now lives in nearby Easley, SC with his family. Codie Sloan of Piedmont, SC plays banjo with the band, and has family roots that date back to the music of Charlie Moore and Bill Monroe. Mandolin player Barron Rogers of Waynesville, NC is a seasoned veteran of the music, having done stints with the Far City Boys as well as Jerry Butler and the Blue Jays. Rounding out the line-up is Georgia native and bass player Chris Williamson, who got his professional start with Randy Khors, and was a founding member of the group Volume Five and currently is also in the band Backline.

Mountain Bridge delivers a combination that is strong and dynamic in sound with a varied song selection; strong, cutting vocals; and tight instrumentation. Chad, Josh, Barron and Codie all take part in the vocal arrangements.
Some of their performances include the Winter Bluegrass Jubilee, Pickens, SC; 2019 SPBGMA Gospel Showcase , Nashville, TN; Fletcher Feed and Seed, NC; Bluegrass First Class, Asheville, NC; & Everett’s Music Barn, Suwanee, GA.

Mountain Bridge is currently representing themselves for festivals, churches and concert halls, and can be contacted through their website (www.mountainbridge.net) or by calling 864-897-9411.
