Halfway Between the Snow and Angels

by Moxie Bliss

The Moxie Bliss sound is giant bubble gum hooks delivered with the serious crunch of a classic Les Paul, heavy handed "Bonzo" style drumming, and the inescapable sound four lads from Minneapolis tend to make known as "sota-pop".

Album Notes

Moxie Bliss was formed in the fall of 2001 and has quickly been recognized as one of the most “promising” bands for which “great things are in store…” coming out of the Minneapolis/St. Paul music scene. -quote:WGVX, Drive 105 Minneapolis- . In their short time as a band Moxie Bliss has been set apart for awards and recognition by:

…The Grammy Foundation & Chicago Chapter of the Recording Academy
…WGVX FM, Drive 105, KROQ, Los Angeles as well as other AAA and CMJ outlets
…Northern Records, Fullerton, California
…Trolley Bus Records, Osaka, Japan
…KSTP A.M. 1500’s Joe Soucheray Show: Garage Logic

Moxie Bliss is a hard hitting indie pop rock trio whose songs have huge hooks, sweet melodies and an infectious sound with hints of the 80‘s British post punk era.

Moxie Bliss released their first full-length CD entitled ‘Halfway Between the Snow and Angels’ in November of 2003 which sold in the neighborhood of 2,000 copies through a variety of outlets and without a record label in it’s first year. Their Song ‘Maybe in a Way’ gained regular rotation on several AAA and CMJ outlets with very little actual radio promotion and charted as high as the #120’s nationally on AAA. Fall of 2005 finds Moxie Bliss releasing their 2nd full-length effort ‘Ghosts of St. Paul‘, with high praise for songs like ‘Suburban Angel’ and ‘Fading out’. Winter of 2007, Moxie Bliss plans to release an E.P. that already has their producer saying “every song on this disc is stronger than any song you’ve ever written.” -Aaron Ankrum- Oystersmoke Studios- Stay tuned!…

“I can certainly see what all the buzz is about…” -’Sluggo’, DJ, KROQ, Los Angeles, CA-
“Thanks for giving us a great song.” -Jeff Collins, Program Director WGVX FM (Drive 105) Mpls. MN-
“This song (Maybe in a Way) sounds like something I could hear all over the radio” -Shawn Murphy, ASCAP-
“You guys are the complete package, cool look, band chemistry, solid work ethic, and great songs.” -Marty Beal, -Napster- West Hollywood, CA-
