Album Notes
someone told me what we do is Americana , well
thats alright with me"....Mr.E(songwriter)

"out of all of life's Mr.E's , there is only one mystery(songwriter)

"A mystery is something which we know that it is , we just don't know how it is"

For the last twenty years, Mr.E(songwriter), has performed original songs for audiences all over the Finger Lakes and Greater Rochester.

With over 200 songs to his credit, Mr. E.'s music has been described as an eclectic blend of styles diverse as Rock, Country, Folk, Blues and even Gregorian Chant.

But however one labels his style, all agree that this is honest music.

With a great crew of band members on board and with multitalented , Gregg Christiansen (who's songwriting skills come thru on this cd with the song called "thought i saw"..) this ship is nicely making way. Along with Gregg the band's reknowned members and guest artists, including Rick Van Fleet , Richard Ord , Rolfe Newton , Juke Joint Johnny Winkler , John Carter , Tony Martino , Bruce Shepard , Vince Lenzi have added an immence sea of talent to this project.

"Going by the moniker of Mr.E(songwriter) and the "totally obscure" band this mysterious group, that we know little about , has put out one full length thus far entitled Unfinished Work , and are getting ready to release another. An americana rock sound permeates on most of the bands material, written by Mr.E himself , with rock , country , and folk equally represented . Mr.E is now set to release his second cd with the first cut,"love will find a way" continuing in his tradition of quality work. An enigma of an artist, we hope to hear more info on Mr.E & crew in the future"... Michelle Picardo /freetime magazine/words and music

"singer/songwriter genius,Mr.E(songwriter) sent a very promising demo, to help us anticipate his full length release in january. He and the totally obscure band have some catchy tracks here with touches of Clapton and Dylan peaking thru,We'll give you the word on the whole cd as soon as we can"....Michelle Picardo /freetime /magazine words and music

love will find a way

great tune
A good song on it's way to be a great song
I'm listening to this song, and not really paying attention to the recording. What I do hear is a well written song, with a good melody. The vocalist actually does have a good voice that works well with the overall mood of the track. I like the arrangement too. Acoustic guitar with keys and a harmonica could spell disaster a lot of the time, but you pull it off. This really is a good song, and as a demo you demonstrate to the listener just exactly how great this song can be.

awesome music
This is a very nicely worked song. There's lots of unusual instrumentation, lending plenty of interest. The organ, if that's what it is, is particularly effective; in general the arrangement always maintains interest.

The lead guitar is a very well executed and fits with what else is going on; the solos are good, being restrained and not inclined to technical showing-off. The riff that opens things up is great, as well.

The lyrics are a little hard to make out at times, but the ones that I can hear are fine. The chorus hook is a strong part of the song, with the call-and-response vocal thing working well.

There's a few production things that I'd tinker with, but like everything it's just a matter of personal opinion. First of all, the bass sounds like it's panned hard left; I'd tend to put it more centrally. The acoustic guitar has a rather strange tone; it does work, but at times it comes across sounding a bit like a harpischord. If it's been treated with any EQ or anything it might be a good idea to go back to having it flat to see if the EQing has gone too far. Finally, the lead vocal is sometimes a little difficult to make out; again, perhaps the treatment has gone a little too far.

But these are all just minor moans; as a whole the song works very well indeed.

mature folk
mature folk / country vibe
this reminded me of warren zevon, without the raunch.
I would think that this would be a good country song.
The rythm guitar has more of a jazz sound. Maybe twang would work better? (again, not my thing, but I'm just throwing out an idea.)
The keyboards sound fine, and I think I covered the lyrics with the comparison to warren.

Review I like this song, though I don't hear much blues in the
1 - Vocals --- I really like the crying tone of your lead vocalist. Fantastic annunciation of words, and a sadness that really comes through in the delivery. ...... 2 - Bass --- Catchy melody line, though not a tradional blues feel. It sounds like a straight rock line in a diatonic scale (not necessarily a bad thing, just noticing). ...... 3 - Chorus --- A really solid lyrical hook that complements the musical hook of the bass. Nice touch by adding backing vocals to accentuate some words and phrases. Overall, this tune really grows on me, with its simple arrangement and dead-on delivery. Probably one of the top two songs I've reviewed so far (out of 24).

good song
Nice n mellow
I really like the lead guitar. It has almost a beachy/Mexico feel to it, like some Chris Isaak stuff.

great lyrics
I Think The Lyrics Have Some Potential.
Rhythm Guitar - OK, It's very effective at keepng the meter.

Keyboards - I think that the song would be just as effective WITHOUT them, maybe even better.

Lyrics - What I can hear sounds interesting. If you'd push the vocals up in the mix I could hear the Lyrics better. The Lyrics are DEFINITELY the strongest element in this song.

i had visions of walking on a moonlighted beach while hearing this the lead guitar keeps the mood as well as the steady stroll for the drums. overall good production.
