ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Musical Graffiti is a band of musical insurgents who find ourselves hunkered down within the valleys of Northwest Montana wrestling with both external and internal "Shock and Awe". From all walks of life we have staggered to these valleys in hopes that the peace surrounding these mountains will help fill the holes of our own internal landscapes. In relentless pursuit of the Muse we find, through music, hope that we as Humanity will choose the right path at this fork in the road that we now find ourselves

We are a collection of recovering Beats, frustrated musicians and restless writers who find occasional moments of peace when the music allows us to step outside of ourselves. Our 2nd cd, "Whose Driven the Bus", is a collection of songs that Dance. We "Shuck and Jive" through the title track with musical observations of what we can see from the seats on this careening bus ride that we all seem to be held hostage on. We question what's at stake for our children. We chaperone the 2 Dancers inside each of us that wrestle with the internal struggles of our collective unconscious. We ponder what role each of us plays in the dance of war and peace. We observe from above our own forced march through history and our many lifetimes in the end accepting that we're only" Passing Through." We surrender to the Now and find peace with the simple challenge of "Being" wherever we are. Finally, we find comfort in the simple solutions that each of us has the power to manifest in our daily lives.

Organic Acoustic Folk/Jazz musings is as close as we can come to labeling ourselves. Headphones, hope and a chance is all we ask from the listener. Perhaps by the 2nd or 3rd listen you will become a part of our Musical Insurgence.
