Album Notes
“The Gospel Music Evangelist”
Muzeel's music ministry began at a small independent church in Gautier Mississippi where he was minister of music for several years after yielding his life to Christ. A self-described “utility vocalist,” he was instrumental in organizing and directing an a cappella men's quartet, in which he sang lead or background vocals as necessary. In the years immediately following this phase of his life, Muzeel's evangelistic journey began as part of a team that took the word of God to residents in nursing and retirement homes, as well as those behind prison bars. The 1990's and early 2000's took him through various roles in music ministry, particularly after me moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he was ordained a Southern Baptist Deacon. In 2005, Muzeel felt compelled to turn back and refocus his efforts on whole-heartedly committing to what he believes God has called him to do—spread the gospel through the medium of music as a solo artist.

In 2008, Muzeel released his first CD entitled “Show Some Sign.” The project was a compilation of cover songs that show Muzeel's versatility as a vocalist. It included energetic traditional gospel tunes like the title cut, reverent southern gospel standards like “I Can't Even Walk (Without You Holding My Hand), and tunes from the black gospel tradition (Richard Smallwood's “Center of My Joy.”) Rounding out the play list, was the contemporary sound of Babbie Mason's rhythmic “Stay Up on the Wall.”

The latest offering,“His Blood Covers Them All” includes ten titles, five of which were penned by Muzeel. As in the first recording, the artist once again demonstrates his versatility and his desire to reach out to all that will hear the word of God with a collection of what he, himself, calls bluegrass gospel, country gospel, urban gospel and traditional southern gospel. Notable among the list of solid renderings of praise and expositions of Bible truths, are “His Name Is Jesus,” which offers to those who are young in their faith walk a succinct recounting of the life and times of Jesus Christ, and “Move on Up the Mountain,” which models a believer's assurance of the promise of salvation. “Restore the Family Alter” offers a reminiscence of Muzeel's upbringing with the emphasis on family worship and faith. His cover of Jonathan Butler's “Falling In Love With Jesus” is a mellow, contemporary offering that includes background vocals sung by family members. Perhaps the most expressive and illuminating title in the collection is the reflective “Who I Am Ain't Who I Was,” which effectively sums up the singer's journey on the road to salvation.
Regardless of where you've come to in your current walk in the Word, you are sure to find something in the recording that ministers to your soul. The project is slated for release March 28th, 2015. You can follow him on Facebook, Twitter and other social media.

From the first time I heard Muzeel it has been a pleasure and joy. The new CD has a little bit of everything. My all time favorite is "Who I Am Ain't Who I Was," with a close second "I Can't Even Walk (Without you holding my hand)." Give a listen to "Falling In Love With Jesus." You have your southern gospel with soul. Buy this CD you will enjoy it!!!!
