Album Notes
"Armed with a sound as timeless as it is progressive, My Defect explodes onto the scene with an energy that portends great things for Rock; a much-needed shot of adrenaline for a stagnant genre filled with 'new' music that already sounds fifteen years old. Stephen Ross, the sole member of My Defect, wrote, played, sang, and produced an album that feels nostalgically familiar, dangerously different, and seductively mesmerizing. My Defect will seduce you with an intoxicating charisma and a promising sound that eschews the bland predictability of contemporary rock."

Intricately crafted, powerful CD
Sometimes debut albums are extraordinary because you can tell the artist took the time to carefully nurture each song into individual gems. “My Defect” is that kind of album! Stephen Ross takes listeners on a surprising journey through tracks influenced in different ways by alternative and experimental rock, and it’s all tied together by strong, earnest, and often soaring vocals. These songs are complex and moving; I’m still discovering new intricacies in the music and lyrics after listening numerous times. I totally recommend this album and enthusiastically urge others to explore its depths.
