Album Notes
Safe and Sound
...A real life love story

Safe and Sound is an eclectic bouquet of original songs – jazz, Latin, boogie, pop, torch, lullaby, prayer. Intelligent lyrics, memorable melodies, sophisticated arrangements, heartfelt performances.

It’s a real life love story. You can cherry pick, but if you listen to all in sequence, you hear the “story.”

Don Rebic: Piano, orchestration
Music for “Too Soon To Tell”: Ted Simons
Acoustic and electric bass: Brian Glassman, Chip Jackson
Saxophone, flute: Dave Schiavone
Percussion: Eric Wills, Danny Mallon, Carl Allen
Electric guitar: Joe Ravo

Note from MZ
This CD is dedicated to Frank Bartlett Heisinger, a compassionate, adventurous, mischievous, and unfailingly kind man of Nature. The songs are about loving him – the many years before, finding him, separating, and re-embracing in a deeper, wiser way – beyond bounds, forever in time.

Although the songs are intensely personal to me, I am reminded every day how so many of us live the same feelings, even though our stories are different. I hope at least one song feels like it is yours. Let me know …
