Album Notes
As they join forces, Francophone-Métis singer-songwriter, Nadia Gaudet, and Plains-Cree guitarist, Jason Burnstick, find a musical kinship, merging their unique musical voices on their first-ever all-original children’s lullaby album Dream Big, Little One * Fais de beaux rêves, petit ange. Inspired by the lullaby, Jayva’s Song, written with her five-year-old niece, Nadia and Jason journey into the world of children’s music, the time to write and record this beautiful and unique album. Together, they create a magical dreamworld as they combine Jason’s palpable guitar melodies to Nadia’s enchanting vocal harmonies, weaving together French, English and Cree lyrics: marrying languages, bridging cultures.

Says Nadia, "I hope that these songs bring a feeling of love and warmth to so many children in such an overwhelming world. These songs began as a fun afternoon game with my niece and nephew, who are so lucky to be learning to express themselves through music at such a young age, and feel safe to do so. They sing in English and they sing in French. For them there is no difference, no divide - a balance I wanted to find within the song lyrics and album's cover art; no matter where we are from, we share the same sky. I wanted this album to capture the open hearts and authenticity that children share with us. I also wanted to create a beautiful musical escape that children and parents alike could enjoy."

Nadia Gaudet: Nadia has stolen audiences’ hearts with her captivating stage presence and ethereal voice. She has won numerous awards on the western francophone music scene, including a SOCAN Songwriter Award, Radio-Canada’s Muziklips, Radio-Canada’s SacrésTalents, as well as being a WCMA nominee.
Jason Burnstick: 2015 IMA Winner, 2010 APCA Winner, 2007 Juno Nominee, CAMA Award Winning artist and 2009 Jessie Richardson Award Nominee, Jason performs with his arsenal of Weissenborns and lap slide guitars. He is also a respected singer and songwriter in his own right, presently recording his next solo project.
