Crazy Moon

by Nadya's 101 Candles Orkestra

Well loved Eastern European Gypsy dances and ballads mixed with French Cafe music with elegant references to jazz and Latin traditions, all led by the warm smokey, and sometimes powerfull vocals of Nadya Golski.

Album Notes
Crazy Moon is a departure from Nadya and Giga's debut album , "101 Candles Orkestra" Combining frenetic horn and accordion lines with Chad Wackerman's superb drumming, Klesmer violin and powereful vocals to create that uniquely Balkan sound combined with subtly sung songs in French, Spanish and English, Nadya has succeded in creating a truly ecclectic album.
101 Candles Orkestra are a multi ethnicgroup of musicians from Sydney with strong Macedonian influences and have recently launched "Crazy Moon", on a succesfull tour of Europe , Northern England and the Edinburgh Festival in 2004. They have played at many major Festivals in Australia such as the Sydney Festival, the Woodford Festival, and have been invited to play at Womad in Adelaide Australia in March.

Parisian cafe music at it's best
Combine Squirrel Nut Zipper with Djano Reinhart/Stephan Grapelli and Edith Piaf, then add in a Gypsy to the melange and you get Crazy Moon. The music is infectously fun and energizing either in the foreground or the background. Share it with friends at dinner or while while sipping wine on the patio for a sunset...
