NANCY GALBRAITH (b. 1951) has been composing music since the late 1970’s, creating instrumental and vocal sound praised for its rich harmonic texture, rhythmic vitality, emotional and spiritual depth, and wide range of expression. With major contributions to the repertoires of symphony orchestras, concert choirs, wind ensembles, chamber ensembles, and soloists, Galbraith plays a leading role in defining the sound of American contemporary classical music. She resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she is Professor and Chair of Composition at the Carnegie Mellon University School of Music, and holds the Vira I. Heinz Endowed Professorship of Music at CMU’s College of Fine Arts.
ADAM WAITE is Minister of Music at the historic Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church in Denver, CO, where he conducts the 80-voice Westminster Choir. Prior to Montview, he lived and worked in the New York City area, where he was Co-Artistic Director and Resident Conductor for Lyrica Chamber Music and Director of Music at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township, New Jersey. He also worked with over forty different Broadway casts as Music Supervisor and Director for Broadway Cares: Carols for a Cure. Waite has won numerous ASCAP awards for his original compositions.
The KENT PLACE CHAMBER SINGERS are a select group from the Kent Place School in Summit New Jersey, a non-sectarian academy for girls K–12. They are led by music director Edel Thomas.
