Album Notes
Nancy Osborne, establishing herself as one of LA’s top vocalists, has had the wonderful opportunity of working with many of LA’s finest musicians in big band, jazz and her own combo. Her great “Swing Style” and outgoing and charming personality on stage has given her a reputation as one of the best entertainers in So .California. As a jazz singer , Nancy has the unique ability of phrasing each song and making it a style all her own. The great American Jazz Standards in Nancy’s new CD, SONGS IN THE KEY O F LOVE were chosen with the idea of intimacy and romance. Nancy lets her emotions shine through each song as if she were sharing her own secret love story.
World famous Guitarist and arranger, Don Peake, found himself immersed in Nancy's vocal style. Captivated by her lovely voice when he first heard Nancy , Peake stated,” Hearing Nancy sing restored my belief in vocalists capturing the words and interpreting a song as it should be interpreted.” Mentioned in Eric Clapton’s biography as the one of the biggest influences of his life, Don Peake is a multi-talented musician who has worked as a guitarist, arranger, record producer, and film music composer. He has been inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame, as a member of The Wrecking Crew.
Inviting Nancy to appear with his own group, THE DON PEKAE ALLSTARS, Peake and Osborne successfully collaborated their ideas and talents creating the new CD, SONGS IN THE KEYOF LOVE.

Nancy Osborne has used her special combination of musical talents to thrill audiences all across the United States, Canada and Europe. Her singing and acting abilities, along with her dynamic personality, creates a versatile, highly entertaining show that has drawn raves from every audience. Swinging with Nancy Osborne is a major popular event that brings audiences back again and again.

As a vocalist she has been featured with such bands as the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Tex Beneke, Ray Anthony, Pat Longo, Legends of Swing, and Johnny Vana's Big Band Alumni, with whom she made two outstanding CD's, and a DVD of their Live from Las Vegas show.
Nancy first produced her own 17 piece big band CD, HOT SWING, COOL JAZZ, being played in over 120 radio stations all over the world. Nancy has received rave reviews from jazz officanatos throughout the world. Her website, gives you a sample of her unique swingin’ style.
At 17 she started her professional career singing with the Young Americans, then toured nationwide in such shows as Lil Abner, Cabaret, Gypsy and My Fair Lady. For many years Nancy worked for Walt Disney Productions, performing with the Kids of the Kingdom, and starring as the sassy "Slue Foot Sue" in the Golden Horseshoe Revue.

Her acting experience in films and television has polished her natural talents and stage presence. Her recent 3 month tour performance as the leading lady in the  new hit comedy, VIAGARA FALLS in Canada brought the house down. "A  highly professional actor, Nancy  demonstrates thespian excellence." quotes reviewer, Danny Gasin of The Ontario Arts Review.
In addition to working as a jazz solo artist she also sings with the Chordettes, doing popular 50's shows with such groups as the Crewcuts, the Four Preps, the Four Lads, the Four Aces, The Platters, and The Inkspots. This broad range of experience has taught Nancy how to "work" an audience in grand style.
There is a special quality about Nancy that comes across as both witty and good-natured. Listeners find themselves bewitched in her style and charmed by her lovely voice that becomes the highlight of the show. In swing, jazz, novelty and most of all the tenderness of romantic ballads, she continues to be a wonderful crowd pleaser for all ages.

Nancy Osborne seems to have that rare ability to make each song her own. Each offering sounds fresh and sparkling. And she really seems to enjoy what she's doing. Her enthusiasm is soooo infectious. As I said before, this set has a song for any and every mood and I bet that once you come to track 16, you'll be swinging....To paraphrase Cole Porter, Nancy Osborne, you're
de-lightful, you're de-licious, you're de-lirious, YOU'RE DE-LOVELY.
- Hadley Tituss, Jazz Rendezvous

Her years as lead vocalist for both the Nelson Riddle and Tex Beneke Orchestras have obviously taught Nancy Osborne a lot about making a song-listener friendly, and she applies her knowledge to the 16 tracks on "Hot Swing, Cool Jazz" for irresistibly entertaining results.
-Jeff Rossen, After Dark,
Arts & Entertainment Magazine

It sounds like much more than a debut recording as she sings with an abundance of confidence.
- D. Oscar Groomes, O's Place

What do I mean by vocally smiling? Adding little nuances such as laughing while singing, playful glissandos at the beginning and end of phrases, vocal growls and an overtone of someone singing while smiling, one knows when talking to someone on the phone if the other person is talking while smiling, and one gets that same message throughout the CD while listening to Osborne sing.
- H. Allen Williams, Jazzreview

Not only is Osborne infectious but her vocal delivery is superbly rich in tone and delivery. Osborne is back by a plethora of seasoned professional that make this recipe "De-Lovely"
- Constance Tucker, All About Vocals

A big band and a swinging singer are the ingredients for a super album, and here it is for you to enjoy, from steamy ballads to up tempo rockers...So, for a hot and cool treat, this album will do the trick for you connoisseurs of swinging jazz.
- John Gilbert, EJazz News - 5 Stars

If you're not old enough to have experienced the "big band with a gal singer" era, this will give you an idea of what it was all about.
- George Fendel, Jazzscene

She's a talented entertainer with a gifted voice. Groove with a strong cocktail to this vocal jazz number with boisterous swing numbers abound!
