Nate Livingston
Nate Livingston has been playing music since he was in fourth grade, starting with the drums. As a teenager his musical tastes switched from hardcore/alt to indie rock music.
He’s performed solo and fronted other bands in Western Massachusetts.
He sings and plays the guitar, piano, keyboard, and drums. All the songs on the album are his originals.
“If I am going to put the time into learning a song it might as well be my own,” he says. “I describe my music as from the heart, melodic and thoughtful.
One of his favorite tracks on the album is “King Has Gone” — about a sulking ruler who leaves his office to wander in the snow and reflect on the failure of his kingdom.
Then, there is “Always.”
“I just love how this one came together,” Nate Livingston said. “Cindy Bishop’s voice added a great compliment to the energy of the song. Mike Braun hit it dead on with drums — which was one of my favorite parts. It has an ambient and rocking feel to it, which I am all about.”
By day Nate Livingston is a heavy equipment operator in the Union of Operating Engineers Local 98.
