ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
30% of the profits of this album go to Suicide Prevention Australia.

My deepest wish is that at least some of these songs inspire people to open up more, communicate more (especially with the special being inside of yourself), reach out and breathe more.
Concomitant to the album, the last bonus tracks at the end are a 15 minute daily affirmation ritual set upon the foundation of high quality stereo recordings of nature sounds I recorded on my special meditation rock in the middle of a spring-fed creek deep in the subtropical rainforests of northern NSW, Australia. If you put headphones on, you can feel like you’re literally sitting on the same rock I meditated upon everyday for years and hear the creek bifurcating around you, immersed within rainforest lushness and replete with the powerful sonic cleanse of cicadas.
I invite listeners to either start their day or end their night listening to this meditation as part of a quotidian routine.
As long as you’re not operating machinery or driving, start by closing your eyes, take at least 3 deep, slow breaths and feel gravity gently pulling your muscles to earth.
After you hear each affirmation, repeat it in your mind.

Dear friend,
How are you? I hope this music finds you well.
So what’s this album about?
Well, concisely, it is sonic medicine to help realign the listener & to help heal depression, anxiety, plus, moreover, it’s about the soul journey itself.
Music is healing. Music is catoptric and it is deeply connecting, not only to another human’s visceral experiences and sapient solutions to life’s issues, but also connection to the actual sound vibrations, which correlates to the fact that all we can feel, see, hear and experience of the universe is, according to quantum physics & mystic traditions, ALL sound & light vibration. Whoah! Cosmic! But seriously though, what that means is that music has the power to heal us at the deepest of levels.

Aside from my normal touring schedule, I became a recording studio hermit, so to speak, shutting out the distractions of the world in order to distil my creative focus into creating this record. A kind of music monkhood. Thus, I started recording these songs in my studio, deep in the subtropical rainforests of the Byron Bay hinterland, 2 years ago &, during that time, I relocated to the arts hub of Australia, Melbourne, culminating in writing & recording 2 albums of material.
Each song on this journey contains powerful keys, spiritual advice, to help lift any listener up.

The quest begins from the survival of the darkest places that our contemplative mind can go to (you know exactly what I’m taking about) & slowly progresses through the spiritual warrior’s, often confusing, path to self-discovery and ultimately to happiness and soul-purpose. Because we all have vital soul-purpose on this planet.
Some of the songs, like “Silence (Waves of Life)” & “Contemplation of Emotional Temperature (Too Cold),” were written specifically after I lost friends at their own hands & another couple of songs, “Don’t Be Afraid To Fall” & “A Moment in Your Life” were penned as caring advice to friends, as well as to myself.
With “Silence (Waves of Life),” I felt Neil’s spirit visit me, pleading for me to get the message out there so that more lives do not need to be lost so unnecessarily. If you listen carefully, you’ll feel his amazing presence, & the presence of whomever you’ve known that’s left us, touch your heart.
Each one of us that has lost someone to suicide, knows that each one gone was a special being, even if they didn’t know it themselves.
This record is dedicated to each & every one of them, so that, through this music, their lives can help save other lives.
Yours truly,
Nathan Kaye
