ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
If Nathan 'Fish' Rike's music is know at all, it is under the Fish Rike Project moniker. The past eight years has seen the release of two full length albums and two ep's under that name. Much of that work is marked by heartache and disappointment, and it seems that FRP has all but run it's course. However, from ash comes new life. In his first ever release under his own name, Songs for Life Love and the Pursuit of Godliness, shows Nathan's maturing song craft with an expanded pallet of sounds, moods and a more song oriented approach than other efforts. Although it is not an unprecedented sonic departure, there is marked upward momentum in the energy and vibe on this record. It is a refreshing step in a new direction. What remains are the sketches of an artist committed to honestly exploring and expressing his craft, and sharing thoughts about his journey through life.
