Album Notes
After touring for two years in support of his pop rock debut, ‘Pocket Change’, Nathan Temby is back with a little project called ‘late night piano bar’.

“The story behind this CD is that I really wanted to put out a cabaret-style work between "Pocket Change" and the next all original CD. I have been doing a lot of piano-bar type shows lately, though not Broadway. I decided that what I really wanted was to release something purely acoustic that reflected the style of a piano bar. The songs I chose are songs I've loved from musicals and songs I've performed over the years. I also wanted to release two songs from the musical I am working on so that people could get a feel for it.

“‘December’ was a song I recorded a demo of six years ago which was sold as part of a holiday sampler that is now no longer available. I have re-recorded it since I think it fits the cabaret style, not to mention that the CD is coming out during the holidays.

"’I Will Still Be Here’ is a song I wrote seven or eight years ago when I first moved to San Francisco. It wasn't a b-side for ‘Pocket Change’, as it was never recorded during that process, but I did have a demo I recorded when I first wrote it. It seemed to really work in the context of this CD, so I recorded it added it to the mix.

“I also knew that sometime this fall I would be playing on board a cruise ship as part of the piano bar, so it all just seemed like the right thing to do. This CD is a very personal little project that I hope you all will love!”

I really enjoy this CD, particularly Nathan's own music. I heard him play "A Simple Man" on a Holland America cruise and fell in love with it. The only problem with it on the CD is that it is too short! Nathan has a knack for making songs his own and that is obvious on this CD. If yuo like piano with heart, Nathan is the man! This CD will not disappoint!

Nathan's range is astounding. He can sing ANYTHING and keeps me mesmerized. I so much enjoyed him on the msWesterdam in the Eastern Caribbean. I was the "birthday" girl on Dec. 2 and he was always so friendly and nice, always giving a wink when I'd walk into the bar and commented on my "sparkly" tops. He introduced me and said, "This is Carolyn, by the way. She had a birthday last night and she's still SPARKLING!" I think he knew how much I appreciated his unique talent and wonderful voice. You go Nathan!!!! I wish you'd email me at I tried emailing you but didn't get an answer. You must be back in San Francisco as of Feb. 1st?
