Left Over Pieces

by Nat Murphy

Get ready for an instrumental ride from a 1970s influenced Cop meets Far East Jam, to Techno beat fueled tracks, all the way to Lush lullabies, wordless songs, and bits of Jazz. Synthesized sounds with piano help create a composers sketch book in sound.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
As a composer and a songwriter I find that I can't stop working on music. This album marks the cracks that my mind goes to while in between String Quartets and Drinking Songs. Sometimes I like to step away from the manuscript paper and just play around with an idea on the keyboard. Sometimes that idea can be percussive, other times it might just be a simple little motive that sets a mood. I guess you could say that this album is me just listening to myself play - and all the wacky ideas that flow from that!

Left Over Pieces
what a unique mix of music, melodies, and sound. didn't find a single song that i didn't listen intently to. considering all songs are composed and performed by Nat, the combinations of instrumentals are very cool. i would advise anyone who enjoys variations and imagination to listen to the whole CD. great job, Nat!
