Album Notes
"Welcome to Meat Street. A place where people are turned into emotionless zombies. Hypnotized into apathy by moronic TV shows. Taxed into economic slavery. Lied to by government. Lied to by media.

Meat Street. Where 'expert opinion' says right and wrong are just chemical reactions in the brain. And the human soul is just someone's delusion."

Meat Street - a musical comedy.

[Book, music and lyrics by Neal Fox.The double-CD set includes a 24-page booklet with synopsis and lyrics.]

Neal Fox''s extensive music background includes recording for RCA, Polydor, and Columbia Records, and writing and producing music for television, film and commercials. Meat Street was Neal's first venture in writing for theatre.

To date, Meat Street has only been performed in workshop and in concert version at Fringe Festivals. The score was pre-released on Neal Fox's private label, Wire Duck Records, in order to generate interest in the show. This is a limited edition CD set.

Solo vocalists on Meat Street are: Neal Fox, Marti Amado, Liz Graydon, Amber Whitlock, Wayne Nelson, Leonard Tucker, Donna McDaniel, Coral Thuet and Rachel Asher.

Group vocals provided by: Wayne Nelson, Ron Bolton, Leonard Tucker, Ron Walz, Cici Groupe, Jacquie Sullivan, Rachel Asher, Coral Thuet, Liz Graydon, Gerry Moffett, and Gayle Urata.

Instrumentalists: John Rekevics on sax. Neal Fox on piano, synths and guitars.

A big thank-you goes to all the show music hosts who took a chance on playing the score of an unknown, unproduced musical. You rock!

"An exhilarating unexpected joy to musical theatre fans..."
-Stuart J. Brown, On Broadway, WRTC & WAPJ-FM

"For a real musical theater experience, exit Sunset Boulevard and take a spin down Meat Street."
-Herbert C. Kroon, Best of Broadway, KMSU-FM

"Rock anthems, glorious pop ballads, witty, pithy and profound. But while all these facets are impressive it is the message that allows it to stand out from the mass."
-Mike Gibb, Masquerade

"Infectious pop melodies, pointed lyrics, and appealing ballads..."

"An exciting new intriguing score. The performers are all first rate and the orchestral backing is superb."
-David Thomas, Curtain Up, SMASH
